A five-minute review after a youth football session
A short, regular review can improve the next session without a long report.
Return to the plan
Write the session aim and one observed example. Who participated often? Who waited too long? Were instructions clear? Do not turn the review into a list of judgements about children.
Choose one change
Select a concrete adjustment: a smaller area, different groups, shorter explanation or more playing time. When useful, tell players what you will try next session. Address safety concerns through the proper process immediately rather than leaving them for a weekly review.
A practical example
If half the players spend a long time queuing for shooting, the most useful change may be smaller stations rather than a longer explanation. Note one participation observation, try smaller groups next session and compare what you see.
