From assessment to development plan: a simple academy workflow
A useful record connects a coach observation to a reviewable next step with clear sharing boundaries.
Choose a short workflow
Agree when coaches record assessments, what fields are necessary and who reviews wording before sharing. Keep goals few and specific, and set a review point. Not every automatic note needs to become an immediate guardian notification.
Put approval in the right place
If AI helps draft a plan, keep it hidden from families until a coach edits and approves it. Separate private notes from the shared summary and scope coach access by team. Measure actual use, not just the number of plans created.
A practical example
If a coach records an assessment on Sunday and drafts a plan on Monday, define when it is reviewed before families can see it. One usable action may matter more than five generic goals. Weeks later, ask player and coach whether the plan helped guide practice.
- Context for each assessment
- Coach approval before sharing
- A review point for each plan
General educational guidance, not a child assessment, endorsement of a particular academy or promise of an outcome. Confirm current details directly with the relevant organisation and seek qualified help for health, legal or child-safety matters.
